Friday's Adventures

Because the weather forecast called for rain in the afternoon (and it kept its word), we left the house early headed toward the Green Market in Dunedin with lunch and a pint at Flannigan's Irish Pub and followed by some roaming through shops. In this area, E and I could quite possibly hit a farmer's market every day of the week and only drive 20 min. in any given direction. One of our favorites has always been the one in Dunedin with the fresh veggies, beautiful and lusty breads and the pickle man, whose spicy dills are heaven! This time we also enjoyed the entertainment and tasted some wonderful sauces by the Jamaica Mon. The Sunday Marker here in Tarpon is in its first year but shows great promise as we see a new vendor or two every Sunday. Hope it takes off as we can bike to that one.

We talked Chuck into modeling one of the fun hats in the vintage shop but could not get him to try on one of the frilly, silly, 50s aprons. We did give it a good try.

We met up with E who had a dr. apt. at Snookers and firmed up some plans with friends for Mardi Gras this coming week in Dunedin and for our dinner club which starts in March that we will host first at our house.

I put a few more pictures from the vintage shops on my altered blog. I am entranced by gathering of items currently and these shops provided me with some great ideas.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. More adventures ahead.
