One of our favorite small towns (after ours, of course) is just down the road from us, Dunedin. When we rode the Jolly Trolley a week ago with Steve and Dee Dee we stopped there for a bite to eat and lots of shopping. E and I found these wonderful metal dragonflies for side of our house leading up to the front door. We've been working to create a prettier entrance, and these sure do help. When we went back to pick them up, not wanting to carry them on the Jolly Trolley the rest of the day, the store, The Dragonfly Garden, was not open yet so E and I shopped a bit. We are thinking of getting a couple of framed stained glass pieces for the master bath windows. While we were at the Lead Lines Stained Glass Studio, I found these darling charms made by the owner, perfect for stocking stuffers and Luanne Kane, the owner says she'll custom make some for me if I can't find what I want...
Kristen and I had made a date for our first free days after our company left and it was this last Sat. Kristen wanted to go to a festival and Dunedin's Orange Festival was the closest. We shopped the Farmers' Market, tasted fresh OJ and had lunch at our favorite place, Sea Sea Riders. The little guys waved at customers, flirted with the waitresses and played peek a boo with the couple who sat across from us.
This is a busy week for us. We are getting ready for our annual two weeks at the beach and are getting the house ready for our every reliable house
sitter, bless his heart! We've told our neighbors to expect Tom so they don't call the police on him. Our neighborhood has a vigilant Neighborhood Watch program, thank heavens.
Have a great and very safe 4th. of July. We are off to a party at friends for part of the day and then to Capt Jacks second story for cold beer and the viewing of several fire works displays. Tarpon Springs is not having fireworks this year but several surrounding communities are and the best view around is either Capt Jack's or the Veranda.
