We rode our bikes yesterday morning because we had so many errands to run during the day. We finished early so decided to celebrate. Generally we go out to lunch on pay day but it was a bit late for that so we decided to have happy hour at one of our favorite local places, Snookers.
We split two appetizers and were in heaven. We had the grouper bits with a very hot spicy dip and, my personal favorite, the Caribbean shrimp stuffed with lump crab in an tangy aioli sauce served on spiced rice. Oh yum!
One of the fun things about Snookers besides the beach bar motif is the gator pen where you can feed the 'babies'. None in the pen are longer than about 3 feet but they still have big teeth to my way of thinking. The tiny ones are almost cute. Someone was feeding them which is how I was able to get the picture of the one with his mouth open!
I had a wonderful drink invented by Susie, the bar keep in the Tiki Bar. She mixed a bunch of things including pomegranate juice. She invented this delicious concoction when we were in the last time. She calls it a Bumpy Road because the road next to the restaurant was being paved. Love it.
Today we are wrapping presents and getting ready for Thankmas here with my sister, her boyfriend, Dennis and our kids. Can't wait. Love to all,
