Viva Colour and Twinkling H20s, Alcolol Ink ...great combinations.

After I cleaned in my work room, I actually felt like creating again.  I have one layout about 3/4 done, did the wine glass (a combo of Viva Colour Inka Gold Metallic Rub, Glimmer Mist and Silks).  I had done a smaller version of the mermaid in the bottle labeled "Found Object" and decided to try for a larger version.  I know realize I need to pull the mermaid on the smaller one and glam her up like her sister.  The mermaid image is from Gecko Galz Mermaid Gardens issue.

As always, thank you so much for looking and all comments are appreciated.

EDITED:  posted this on the wrong blog...lol.  Will return to my life tomorrow.

Weekend Overload

We've been busy busy people here lately and what we have been busy doing is having fun. Friday morning we attended the Pancake Breakfast at Palm Harbor Montessori School with the Grands.  The entire meal from shopping to seating was done by the New Middle School kids and they did a pretty good job.

"I don't need a sippy cup.  I'm a big girl now".

 Napkin folding 101?
 Where's the food...
Friday, after the Grands' mama got home, E and I headed to Dimitri's on the Water to meet up with some friends.  We had the olives and feta appetizer, shared a bottle or two of the wonderful Greek red and I had a Greek Cobb salad and E had the fish Gyro.  Loved seeing people we had not seen in a while, Becky, Sandy and Dave!

This one is for Pam Bennett who loves to peruse the menu selections ...and this is when we raised our glasses and toasted to the "working people" , an old Week 29 Estero Beach Resort tradition!

Bright and early Sat. morning, the Grands, their mama, Papa and me headed into town to the Touch A Truck event and Tarpon Springs did it up right!  There were contests, live music by the talent show winners (who were outrageously excellent btw), give aways, coloring books and more .  I think the Grands favorite was the trash truck and the back seat of the police car...hope this is the only time the boys see that back seat...lol.  Thanks so much to our city workers who showed such patience with all the kids (and their parents) and our personal favorite city worker, Tom Mueller, who the Grands refer to as "Uncle" Tom.

 The usual suspects....lol.

I think Leighton's favorite part was the fountain in front of the library.  She came pretty close to climbing in!

And our weekend is not over yet...we're meeting Susie, Justin and a few other friends around 11am and hoping the Jolly Trolley.  We'll make a few stops here and there and work our way down to lunch on Clearwater Beach.  Hope you are having a great weekend!

Catching myself coming out the door as I am going in...

The Women Who Do Lunch bunch has been doing a 3 day marathon scrappy event hosted by our beloved Cynthia .  I've plugged in when I can and spent a lovely two days with my gal pals.  Here we are in all our glory  ( I am the one in the mirror btw!)

I am hosting for National Scrapbook Day and we have decided to do the challenges at Scrapbook.com.  Of course, the day will be catered by none other than my E!

I taught a beginners' class yesterday at Posh Scraps and then headed over to Cynthia's til time to pick up the Grands. Yesterday and today, I managed to finish a total of 2 layouts, both posted on my altered arts blog.

Then, on the way home from dropping off the Grands, E announces that he "forgot" to take anything out of the freezer so we'll have to make the ultimate sacrifice and eat out.  Sure hate it when that happens but what is a girl to do...so off we go to one of our favorite places, Tarpon Tavern
We only got the starters and still had at least half of each of our orders left for lunch tomorrow.

We have a busy weekend coming up starting tomorrow.  Palm Harbor Montessori New Middle School is hosted a pancake breakfast and we will be attending with the Grands.  An Earth Day Celebration follows.
After the Grands' mama gets home from work, we are heading to Dimitri's on the River
down on the Sponge Docks to meet up with friends for a little TGIF stress relief.
Sat. we are headed to Lemon Street with the Grands and their Mama to a Touch the Trucks event.  The boys are fascinated with big trucks and this will be their hay day I am sure.  Sunday, we are meeting up with our friends, Susie and Justin and a few more pals, hopping on the Jolly Trolley and doing an on and off pub crawl with lunch on the beach.

I do so love living here...our little piece of Paradise! (oh, and watch this spot for updates!)

Tues morning with the Grands

This is our half day with the kids.  And it also Music with Mar day.  The kids learn all sorts of things here and Leighton, in particular loves to march.  Today Colvin sang the "Hello Frogy" song and got a high five and a download from Ms Mar's on line store.  Landon had a case of stage fright as he knew the words and sang them with me before we left the house.  Maybe next week...

Meanwhile, here they are

I was combing the Twins hair and Leighton insisted I comb hers too.  I'm entitling these "wishful thinking'...lol.

Music with Mar

Poor Landon was having some teeth problems...he was just not his usual fun self today poor little guy.

And then the trip home...which is always something else.  Leighton sang E I E I OOOO or her version of it while Landon tried to doze and Colvin just hummed along.

And, of course, Leighton had to play Hollywood!

Tomorrow is another day with these goofy little kids that keep us so alive!
