Reading love poetry in the kitchen

Posting from Paradise
My dear friend, Clare, sent my honey and I a book of love poetry from New Zealand and, for many nights, I would read my honey, the chef of the house, a love poem as he cooked us wonderful creations. He reminded me last night that I hadn't read him a love poem in a long time. So, here is what I read to him tonight:The ConfirmationYes, yours, my love, is the right human face.I in my mind had waited for this long.Seeing the false and searching for the true,Then found you as a traveller finds a placeOf welcome suddenly among the wrongValleys and rocks and twisting roads. But you,What shall I call you? A fountain in a waste,A well of water in a country dry,Or anything that's honest and good, an eyeThat makes the whole world bright. Your open heart,Simple with giving, gives the primal deed,The first good world, the blossom, the blowing seed,The hearth, the steadfast land, the wandering sea,NOr beautiful or rare in every part,But like yourself, as they were meant to be.Edwin Muirand our dinner was the sweeter for me having read to him.

That is so beautiful. What romantics you are. I do wish my husband would share poetry and readings with me ~ what a lovely past time. Little envious here.

Ruth, just start doing it and let it become part of the cooking. We've also been known to slow dance in the kitchen while the meal is simmering!

Makes my heart go pitter patter! Really!

Jules about my camera. Its a 6.1 mp, with a 12Xoptical zoom and a 4.2 digital zoom. I was also looking at the canon Power Shot but i don't care for the view finder. It's pretty small and has to be swung out like a video cam. My old koday has a small view finder, too, and Larry and I could hardly see it. This new Kodak has a nice big one. So far i am liking it. Did you read the comments from that dkp(?)on the post of the flower pic? He posted a pic he took with his Z612.

Jules,
I can see that one on a LO! I have written poems to my dh, but have never read him any. I will now. Starting with this one.
Thanks for sharing it with us

What a lovely thing to do!
You two sound like you have such a neat relationship....gives me hope for love again for me(and someone unknown out there)
Went to your new gallery earlier, but was in my "sleep state" and we have all seen the things that I write in that condition, so didn't dare post any thing. Just enjoyed your talent and heart.
