I've been scrapping some of my pictures from Italy lately and came across this one. E and I had missed our connection from Heathrow to Rome through no fault of our own and had arrived in Rome too late for the first tour. Instead of rushing to join our group, we showered, took a very short nap, had a wonderful romantic dinner on the terrace room of our hotel and then took a walk. Our hotel was located about 20 min. outside of the city on a hill. We had a view of Rome and of some of the country side beyond the city. There were several what I would call 'farm' estates on the road where we took our walk. I snapped this shot as the sun was setting behind one of the older of the homes. I am not sure that it was even occupied as it had a deserted feel to it. When I look at this picture, that whole evening comes back to me in such wonderful detail. Ah Roma!
We are having our last Open House today. I am so tired of talking about selling this house, writing about selling this house, cleaning for people who are looking at this house, and taking down and putting up my work room every time we get a call or have an Open House. Both E and I have been pretty casual about getting ready for this last Open House...lol. We are taking the house off the market at the end of the month until after the holidays when we will relist at a higher price. We will enjoy the break, I am sure.
I am one of those people who believes in telling product co. when I like what they do. One of my e-mails (and I don't send tons of these) is being published in the company's catalog along with the very humorous reply I received from the owner. Thanks Julie Comstock!
