Off we go...into the wild blue yonder

We leave today for St. Louis, where the daily temp has been in the mid twenties lately and 250,000 people are still w/o electricity fter a huge storm downed power lines this past week. Fortunately for us, both E's Mom's house and that of our friends do have heat! Yeah!.

I am not sure we will have internet at E's mom's so this may be a last blog until Sat. at least when we get to Steve and DeeDees's house. I posted a couple of pics of the view we had while we ate lunch at the beach last week. (piture one) and of Times' Square down on the beach. We often eat breakfast during our Time Share week in July at one of the restaurants in this area and love happy hour at Wahoo Willies!

Our housesitter arrives soon and E is cooking us a great breakfast to prepare us for the cold tundra up North. We'll be winging our way to St. Louis by noon. Steve and D2 have some great adventures planned for us . Friday is Girls Day Out for DeeDee and I : lunch and shopping til we drop. Sat. it is back to Old Town after we transfer our luggage to Steve and DeeDees: lunch followed by a meet up with my dad, and a happy hour with some of our old teacher pals. Sunday we are heading to the Botanical Garden for the Poinsetta exhibit and on to a couple of light displays (Anheiser Bush and Our Lady of Something or other) right after supper at a German restaurant. If we don't have that holiday feeling after this trip, no one will.
