Sat. and Sunday

Our last full day at the beach was a good one or was until something hit my tummy. Thinking it might have been something I ate on Thursday but no clue what. Feeling much better today but it sure took the bloom off our last day.

We headed up the beach after sitting out by the pool and packing most of the morning. We had to visit The Cottage, one of the oldest sites on the island, for our traditional helping of bacon wrapped shrimp dipped in a honey, soy and ginger sauce and a couple of cold brews. The walk back was a delight as Friday was not as hot as some of the days at the resort this past week.

Sat. morning we got up, finished packing up the van and headed across to Reeses', a small restaurant across Estero Blvd. They have the best early bird breakfasts and we can eat on the deck overlooking a pond filled with turtles. By then, my upset tummy was abating a bit and I was starving.

The trip home was uneventful. Both cats were happy to see us and Rob had done an excellent job as the Cat Nanny. I even got all the laundry and most of the unpacking done before fatigue set in.

Today is more unpacking and straightening up here. There is a day of challenges today at KnK. Come post some or just use them as inspiration. You do have to join the site to log on.

Off to eat some breakfast, walk the lower lawn (boy, do we have some weeding to do) and drink one more cup of java before I jump into this day.

and, as Dorothy said, "There's no place like home!"
