Fun Evening and our last full day...

Kaela came to visit around 5:30 and dined with us on noodles and butter (her request) and our supper of spaghetti, we all took a nice long walk to the pier and Times' Square where we indulged in great ice cream. E had two scoops: New Orleans Praline and Cookie Dough, while Kaela had Cookies and Cream and I joined E in one scoop of the very rich Praline. Our walk back was much slower as we had to stop often to collect and move shells along the shore.

We watched the Disney Channel for an hour (something called the Prom Queen Warrior?) and our little pal was sound asleep by 9pm and us shortly thereafter.

Today is our last full day and we are doing exactly what we want to do. E will cook us all breakfast before we return Kaela to her parents and then he and I will amble down the beach. For lunch we are headed to the Cottage, one of the oldest buildings still standing on the beach for bacon wrapped shrimp dipped in spiced honey and then perhaps over to the Smokin' Oyster Bar for a cold brew and a good bye to a couple of the gals we know who work there. The rest of the day will be spent surf side and then some packing. We need to be out of the unit by ten and head home. We miss our cats and our home and the kids.

Enjoy your day.
