Happy Friday one and all

Didn't get much scrapping done yesterday. E was working on the platform for the charcoal grill which we keep on the lower lawn and I just vegged most of the day. I've been reading a biography of Liz Taylor and WOW! She was married 4 times before she hit 30...guess I had thought she was older than that then.

South Beach is coming along nicely. Not wanting carbs nearly as bad as the first day and am down 8lbs. so far. That is what I love about get incentive to continue. Both E and I need to take the weight off to reduce the stress on our feet and on his heart. In my opinion, there are only two reasons to lose weight: health and because you personally want to feel better. We are attempting to slim down a bit for health primarily but I really like having more energy for biking and kayaking and walking.

We love each other enough to do this for our health. Wish us luck

Good luck with the South Beach. I tried it and didn't lose anything but I'm glad it's working for you.

Healthy eating is definitely easier when you can do it together. Wish I could convince Ken to go that route. Heck, if he can purge his shoe collection so that his feet are healthier, you'd think he could purge some processed food from his diet!

Congrats on the weight loss. If only I could lose 8 pounds on ANY diet!
