The Boxer Fund Raiser Crop

I was going to post some pictures of the Gavel and Grape event here in Tarpon Springs from Sat. and/or some pictures of our road trip to Homosassa, Florida for the flea market and Cobia fishing tournament but instead I am going to tell you about a very worth while event coming up here in Tampa this weekend.

This is a fund raiser for the Boxer Rescue association and the money goes to such a good cause. Now, I don't even have a dog; we have two cats. But I know Deb White and she has such a big heart that any organization this woman supports is aces in my book. So, even if you can't go, I'll give you a contact number for making contributions. YOu'll have much more fun if you come though.

The Boxer Crop will take place at the Art Institute of Tampa, located at 4401 N. Himes Ave. here in Tampa. It begins at 3p on Friday, June 12 and concludes at 10p Sat., the 13th. The cost is $50.00. There are classes not only for scrapbooking but a dog behavior seminar with Connie Borwich, an artesian bread making class, hors d'oeuvres and garnishes class as well as a wine tasting . There is an Art of Rescue Dance-a-thon and music, a cocktail party, art auction and a raffle...all in one place.

If you go to http://www.flbr.org/ and click on the dancing boxers, you can get more information and on the main page, I am sure there is a place to make donations. This is such a worthwhile thing!
