Sunday Market in Tarpon Springs

Tarpon Springs has just started a Sunday Market and it has great potential. I felt sorry for the vendors yesterday as the temps were in the lower 40s. These people did an incredible job though and to a man/woman kept their sense of humor and were friendly and inviting. There was an eclectic mix of quality crafts, gourmet foods and the pizza guy had an oven going which also helped to keep him warm! The artisan bread lady had a little electric oven to heat the bacon, cheese pop overs for people (like me) who wanted theirs hot...and it was good too. The tomatoes we bought from one of the veggie vendors were the best we have had this season. There was even a band setting up when we were there.

I have figured out that with all the markets in a fifteen minute radius of my home, I can spend the next few months just hitting a different one each day. Safety Harbor has theirs on Thurs., Dunedin on Fridays, and I believe there is a Sat. market in either New Port Richey or Holiday and now the Sunday Market in my little town. And what great fun that would be...your roving reporter will check them out and let you know!
