Oct. Dinner Club: Italian Night

Whomever has dinner club at their house, invites the guest couple, sets the theme, and provides the main course. Last night it was at our house and we invited Kevin and Michelle as our guests, decided on Italian as the theme and E cooked Roasted Portobello and Prosciutto Lasagna and Cheesy Chicken Ravioli Casserole as the main dishes.

Susie and Justin brought imported Italian cheeses and sausages and a wonderful dip with really flavorful olives that she got from a lovely Italian deli near her house. Michelle andKevin fixed a great salad and Becky and Bob topped off our evening meal with home made chocolate mousse that was delightfully light and a tray of traditional Italian cookies. After dinner, we moved back to the lanai and sipped lemoncello and frangelica and, do you know, if you combine the two correctly you have a drink called 'chocolate cake' and it does taste just like it!

E and I are heading out to the Jazz Festival at Coachman Park this afternoon to catch some tunes and we've made tentative plans for Thursday evening to all meet a Sunset Beach where there is to be a showing of Rocky Horror Show. I love this area...there is always something to do!

Your evening looks just wonderful, the table, the food and of course all the good company.
