River House Reef and Grill

We have had a busy busy week filled with family and friends and have loved every minute of it. After Kaela's dad and she left for Disney, my sister and her boy friend headed back to Ft. Myers. E and I got some chores done here around the house and headed south to Palmetto to meet Jo and Bill (St. Louis friends) at the River House Reef and Grill restaurant.

E found this place from a tv show and we spent an anniversary here having lunch one year. We've meet Janet and Bob here a couple of times and have never been disappointed in the food or service. And we were delighted with it once again. The view is so lovely as the restaurant is right on the river with a huge marina. It sits at the end of a long pier and we love it.

As always, it was a delight to see Jo and Bill. They are spending two months here in Tarpon Springs this winter. I'm hoping the weather is better than last year for them but I love their attitude. No matter how cold it got here, they were thankful as it was way colder in St. Louis.

E and I had always talked about stopping at this place on our way home either from visiting Bob and Janet on Ana Maria Island or meeting someone in Sarasota but never had. So, we did. We took a half hour and enjoyed both the view and the wine at this cute place. Bob and Janet have eaten here and loved it so perhaps that is where we'll meet for one of our lunch dates after they get down to their beach house this winter.

The Tarpon Springs Christmas Parade is scheduled for ten am but it is raining and raining and I think we are going to take a pass this year. It will be the first year I've missed since we moved here. I have had some allergy or something issues lately and came home from watching the twins yesterday with a stuffed up head and a huge headache so called Jackie and begged off the crop last night. Thinking maybe it is time to make a dr. appointment

Meanwhile, hope everyone has a great weekend.
