Sumptous Sat.

Okay, so I did this layout of Landon at Friday night's crop at Posh Scraps, not on Sat. but I like it and I used the new Tim Holtz papers and ribbon trim and the plastic letters. Posh has a huge shipment of all of Tim Holtz' new goodies so stop by if you get a chance, those of you who live in the Tampa area.

I started my Sat. by teaching a tech workshop on faux backgrounds at Posh. I had six delightful ladies in my class (was suppose to be 7 but one lady got lost apparently). We got messy and had a great time creating water colored velum sheets, faux velvet, suede and corduroy along with a faux tortoise shell. The color wash, the inks and the gold Krylon are slowly wearing off from under my nails...lol.

E and I headed to the annual Art Festival held on Spring Bayou at Craig Park each year. This year, it seemed, there were more vendors than ever before. The music was lively, the art lovely and the food was good. We grabbed some sandwiches and ate on the grass by the water. We have only missed one year of this festival and don't plan on skipping ever again.

Around 5:30pm we met Justin, Suzie and Buddy at Dimitri's on the River for cocktails and then roamed down the street to enjoy Night on the Islands down on the Sponge Docks. There was Greek music, tables set up like the sidewalk cafes we encountered through out the Med and there was a cool breeze coming from the Gulf up the Anclote river.

We ended up eating dinner at Costas and were joined by Michel, who leads some of the best tours of the area. There was a Greek musician playing a guitar like instrument who was very talented so we felt like we had our personal serenader while we ate.

Not sure what our plans are for today besides a bike ride into town to pick up some tomatoes for lunch at the Farmer's Market. Maybe we'll hit a nursery or two in search of our white rose. We found a "blue" rose bush last week. We have always tried to have one in our garden in memory of my step father but these have been hard to find lately.

Hope your Sunday is a delight!
