We have narrowed our search for our new house to 2 out of the 30 we looked at the past couple of days. And, while we know we don't have to decide right this minute, I am already losing sleep over this whole thing. Of course, the one we both really love (the other is a close second) is on the outer limits of our budget. Making a huge financial commitment like this is so scary. We don't want to lock our selves into something that prohibits us from traveling for the sake of a place to live when we could settle for a bit less and still have a very nice house. We are setting up the appointment for pre approval on our loan soon. We spent a bunch of time last night crunching numbers and making list after list....
We are going back up to Tampa area to look at some more places later next week and I have to keep reminding myself we don't have to make a decision right this minute! Just wish the sleep fairy could find me so I could close my eyes. Being wide awake at this hour sucks! For some reason, being wide awake in the middle of the night (early morn actually) is far more lonely than other times. It is dark and even my cats are sound asleep. I should do something productive with this time but I think I'll head back to bed, snuggle with E and stare at the ceiling until time to get up!

I think house buying is one of the most stressful things in life. I hope you get some much needed rest so you can make a clear headed decision. Keeping body parts crossed that you find the right one!

Hope you find the best house for you and your husband. We are thinking about moving to the Tampa area too and are looking east of the city. I am going to downsize though. I have a huge home here in pa and it hard to keep up with the cleaning and heating bills.
Try to sleep as much as you can, keep yourself healthy! Stress can take a toll on you! You will find the right one! I still have faith that good things happen to good people, so just wait and see!
