Lunch at the Green Springs Bistro(part II of Friday Fun)

After our wonderful walk through the park, we headed to the Safety Harbor downtown and to a wonderful restaurant, Green Springs Bistro, for lunch. Sandy had been to the restaurant before it relocated and when we asked nearby residents where the place was, we were actually right across the street from it. Too funny.

The restaurant is darling...lots of local artists have painted murals and it is set in one of the 1930's cottages which dot the back streets of this little slice of Americana. We both had the "Krissy's low carb plate" and before you turn up your nose and snort 'health freaks', let me describe this entree. "Roasted chicken, portobellos, red onions, artichoke hearts, roma tomatoes. Topped with chedder cheese and oven roasted. Served with a small green salad". The service was pleasant without being intrusive. The food fresh and flavorful (as in melt in your mouth) and the amounts ample without being too much. I give it 5 stars!

Thanks Sandy for a wonderful day.
