A bit ago E and I were watching the news when we heard sirens. The last time we heard these, one of our neighbors was in distress and needed emergency care. This time we were in for a pleasant surprise. Coming through our small town was a huge fire truck bedecked with tons of lights and playing Christmas music between horn toots. And what to my wondering eyes should appear....it was Santa sitting on the very top in all his holiday glory.
Should any child be on the verge of non-belief, all he had to do was to be in my small town tonight. I know I believe!

Cool! When we lived in Sacramento, the neighborhood fire station did that too! Dayna was 3 or 4 at the time! It was really cool! Hadn't thought about that in years! Thanks for pulling that memory out from the cobwebs in my mind!
Our little town does it too! I think it is so cool. I wish the kids were still at day care when they did it because they would love it!
what? No picture????
Oh Jules! Talk about a flashback! When my parents lived at the beach the volunteer fire brigade did the same thing every Christmas Eve for all the local kids and Santa would have a "lolly scramble" for them all. They used to have a few drinkies before they began until the infamous year when Santa, pissed as a fart, fell off the back of the firetruck, cartwheeled down the road and miraculously landed standing up with sack of candy still in tact! LOL The wives banned pre-drinkies in subsequent years surprisingly!!! LOL
