Pam is in the House!

Clare and I never made it to the race track after we left the hotel. We got gabbing and actually drove right on by not only the track but our turn out of town as well. Thank heavens Diane showed me the directions her husband had typed up for her that would get her home without having to cross the ever dreaded Sunshine Skyway Bridge. There is more than just me who dislikes traversing this bridge behind the wheel of a car. I'm thinking of forming a club...lol. We did manage to make it home before Pam's plane landed and even got a load of laundry, Clare's specialty, in the washer before we left for the airport.

While we were waiting for Pam's plane to land, Jacquie called and said when they drove past the Hard Rock Casino they just had to make a bathroom stop...good excuse girls...where, in passing, Diane won $50.00 and Jacquie did not.

We grabbed Pam on the run and headed straight to our favorite Greek restaurant in town, Mykanos. Of course we had to have the flaming cheese...OPA! (pictures to follow).

Here are a few more pictures from the crop and the first is Clare, Bill, Jo and Gene at Snookers Clare's first night and the one of our dear Diane is in the hotel's darling pocket bar. Diane bought a round of sangria, her first ever! We have such fun with her! And wait until you see the 7 Gypsy Shadow Box that Jacquie was making with G45 papers...everyone was taking pictures of it.

My record for the weekend was 7 single pagers (we are finally out of Barcelona with my Med. cruise pictures)and a double page spread of the market place in Barcelona.

Today is the official start of the Luscious Lushes madcap adventure. As soon as we can pull ourselves together here after E fixes us a breakfast to sustain us til we can get to Janet's (hour and a half away from me...we will pack up the car and head south. Once at Janet's (with a brief stop at Baells Outlet to pick up all the things we will have forgotten to take), we will change cars and head further south to Captiva Island where the palm fronds sway in the tropical breezes and the Cabana Boys await our arrival!

Hope you have a great day!

The crop must have been a blast. Drink a pink fruity one for me in Captiva. And I'll join that "Sunshine Skyway Bridge Sucks Club." It scares me to death! Did they forget to put up high side rails, or what? Hello to all the Cherries in the group!!
